Physicochemical Properties A colorless to pale yellow liquid or solid that becomes solid upon cooling, exhibiting aromas of wine, ether, fruit, and roasted notes. Its boiling point is 195–196°C or 80°C (1466 Pa); its melting point is 18–19°C. It is slightly soluble in water, with a water solubility of 8.5 g/(20°C). It is readily soluble in ethers, alcohols, acetone, and oils. Its density is 1.17 g/mL (25°C), nD20 is 1.419, its flash point is 90°C, and its explosive limits are 1–8.5%.
Use Advanced pigment intermediate. Primarily used in the synthesis of acridone-based pigments.
